Do Not Anyone Confuse BJP With RSS

Jayaprakash Narayan led a successful mass movement in the 1970s against the massive corruption in Indian politics and administration. It was a wonder the young and bright students of India abandoned studies and left colleges permanently to participate in this national struggle, captivated by the truthfulness and commitment of this old man. He got the support of Jana Samgham and such radicals and socialists as Chandrasekhar and George Fernandez. These struggles ended in the declaration of the infamous National Emergency by Indira Gandhi and almost all leaders of this movement were imprisoned. Leaders like Jayaprakash Narayan and A.K.Gopalan never recovered from the health hazards presented by the harsh treatment rendered to them in prisons including denying medical treatment and dialysis. When emergency was lifted and general election declared, Indira Gandhi lost as if a great tree uprooted and fell. The highly educated hypocrites of states like Kerala supported Congress but it was the illiterate poor people of the north Indian states who caused Indira Gandhi’s and Congress’ historical fall. The newly formed Janatha Party benefited most from this poor people’s and students’ movement. When Morarji Desai lost the next election, Bharatiya Janatha Party was formed, with Jana Sangh pushed to the back and boot-leggers and traitors out of Congress coming into fore. These BJP politicians do not have any national orientation- they just have their old Congress culture, that too a much degenerated one. Do not anyone confuse BJP with Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Samgham (RSS). RSS does not need BJP to exist but without the support of RSS, BJP is a great zero. RSS do have a history, tradition, principles, integrity and discipline. BJP has none of these. They live defying RSS principles every way but when elections come, seek and beg the help of RSS. That is the Indian truth which no Swayam Sevak will deny. In National Emergency, RSS, Socialist and Communist leaders were imprisoned and tortured. Maneka Gandhi and her husband late Sanjay Gandhi, as Sha Commission Trials established, were directly responsible for so many atrocities during that period. But Atal Bihari Bajpayee did not feel any shame or guilt to share cabinet seats with Maneka Gandhi later, to keep his BJP government afloat. In fact, his leashing out this former adversary in his ministry for a few seats’ parliamentary support was the real reason for the notorious dog problem of India. Even in future, such impure associations may be repeated by BJP for maintaining lead in parliament. Since the 1970s, it is only now in 2013 that students and poor people in the northern states of India take to the streets to beat the corrupt and unscrupulous politics of Congress and now BJP. Arvind Kejriwal and other intellectuals now standing amid these students and poor people are only copying the time-tested tactics of Jayaprakash Narayan. They may not win but it’s a good start anyway.
